Working the polls...
Election #6
Here I am with my son Amil outside the advance poll location at Humewood School in mid-town Toronto. This is the sixth election we’ve worked at since 2019. Can’t say I was “meddling” because I wasn’t. There are many procedures to follow and we did everything we could to follow the rules and uphold the integrity of the election.
We were co-supervising this location for 4 days over the Easter weekend. It was an honour to work with Amil on such an important project. Along with another supervisor, we supported 10 other staff. It was a very busy weekend as you may have seen in the news. Four 14-hour days in a row. In the end, everything worked out well despite minor glitches along the way. I look forward to working with Amil on Monday at an Election Day polling location. I’ll have more to say after the election is over.
